The wood is fed into the chipper from the feed port. When the wood contacts the cutting blade, the wood is cut into wood chips as the cutting disc rotates at high speed. In this process, the high-speed rotation of the cutting disc generates a strong cutting force, which cuts the wood into wood chips of uniform length.

The cut wood chips are sent out in the cutting chamber by the high-speed airflow generated by the fan blades on the cutting disc. This airflow helps the cut wood chips to be discharged smoothly from the machine.
