Metal Shredder Machine

Metal shredder is also called metal coarse crusher. The machine is mainly composed of shredding blade group, bearing box, box bracket, feeding system, power system, and electrical control system.

Metal shredder is mainly used to shred light and thin metal with a certain strength to increase its stacking density for easy transportation and recycling.

Metal shredder is a double-shaft shredder equipment. With the widespread use of metal crushers and the development of scrap metal graded crushing technology, metal shredder has emerged and become a new type of metal crushing equipment. The metal shredder’s shredding teeth are spirally arranged on the main shaft of the knife roller, and the two parallel guide rollers rotate in opposite directions to achieve the extrusion and crushing of the material. Since the equipment is mainly used to crush various large-volume scrap metal materials, and cooperates with metal crushers and other equipment to perform secondary material particle size fine crushing, it is also called a metal coarse crusher.

The metal shredder makes full use of the characteristics that the shear and tensile strength of the material is much smaller than the compressive strength, and uses the shear and tensile forces to crush the material. Therefore, the metal shredder has the characteristics of low energy consumption, low over-crushing rate, simple structure, and easy maintenance.

The main shaft and blade structure of the metal shredder are a key component to achieve material crushing, improve the crushing ratio and control the particle size. The main shaft device consists of a main shaft beam, a main shaft tooth and a sleeve, and its structure is shown in the figure above. The crushing main shaft is fixed to the box body by bolts and bearings. The main shaft teeth are hollow hexagonal structures, which are sleeved on the main shaft structure. The blades are connected with each other through sleeves, and the two blade shaft structures are interlocked and staggered.
