A branch cutting machine is a specialized piece of equipment used to process pruned branches from trees, shrubs, fruit trees, as well as small-diameter wood waste from agriculture and forestry into uniform-length wood segments. Feeding: The operator feeds branches into the machine through the feed inlet.

Gripping and Conveying: Hydraulically driven feed rollers inside the machine grip the branches and steadily draw them into the cutting mechanism.

Cutting: The branches are conveyed to the cutting unit, most commonly a high-speed rotating disc or drum equipped with hardened alloy knives. Under substantial feeding force, the branches are cut upon contact with these knives into wood segments of pre-set lengths.

Discharge: The cut segments are ejected through a discharge outlet, typically directed by a rotatable discharge chute into a collection vehicle or designated pile area.
